Stewarts Coaches have been supporting the charity Shine for the past 10 years, we have donated over £1,500 via their Virtual Balloon Races but in a few weeks it will be time for our staff to help Shine raise awareness and funds.

Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.

Shines awareness week runs between Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd October and this year we have decided to do our very best to support the charity, doing everything we can to spread the word and raise money.

To kick start the week, office staff from both Stewarts and Woods will dress to impress, donning something yellow and donating £2 each to the cause. Drivers are welcome to take part by wearing a yellow tie. Hello sunshine!

Each day, a coach from both Stewarts and Woods Coaches will leave each depot dressed in yellow ribbons. We will follow their journeys throughout the day, all the while promoting the Charity on social media.

At the end of the week, both sites will go head to head in a static cycling challenge covering the distance between both sites of 103 miles! The fastest wins and gets to take the title of “Stewarts Shining Stars”. Sponsor £2 for 1 mile on the route and have a chance to win a wonderful hamper filled with mouth-watering goodies!

Last but in no means least- our very own Matt Taylor will be physically cycling the journey between both sites aiming to raise a grand total of £250.00!

Stewarts Coach Group are looking to raise a whopping total of £750.00. £10 could pay for a new parent welcome pack, £110 could pay for a school visit from a Shine Education Adviser. If you would like to donate please visit
